Vitality Works can conduct both qualitative (taste testing method) and quantitative (Portacount) evaluations of your workplace respirators. As part of our standard package, we offer spirometry testing (lung test) to ensure gold-standard care for employees who use respirators in the workplace.
Qualitative Testing
Our simple but effective method involves using a test agent, such as a bitter or sweet aerosol, to check whether the respirator is sealing correctly. The fit needs improvement if the person can taste the agent.
Quantitative Testing
Our advanced equipment measures the exact amount of test agents leaking into your respirator. This objective test compares concentrations inside and outside the respirator to provide a clear fit factor, ensuring good seal protection.
After the tests, each employee will receive brief guidance on respirator use, maintenance, and common troubleshooting. VW can also provide group training sessions for entire businesses.
