Our story

Vitality Works is part of the Sanitarium Group—a health and wellbeing company helping Australians and New Zealanders live well since 1898. We’re the workplace arm of the group and for the last 15 years we’ve been changing lives, every day, through whole-person health.

1866

The world-renowned health resort, Battle Creek Sanitarium, is founded in Michigan USA.

1901

Sanitarium Health Food Company debuts as New Zealand’s first health food company.

2011

The workplace arm of Sanitarium—Vitality Works AU & NZ—is born.

2012

Vitality Works expands—acquiring five businesses.

2013

We acquire Vitality Works NZ, taking on the name to become a leader in workplace wellbeing in Australia and New Zealand.
